My book Perfidious Albion was not written as history for its own sake. It was written to explain the present. Based on the past, but pertinent to the present.
The central thesis is simple but uncomfortable: Britain perfected a system of power that operates alongside formal democracy rather than within it. Over centuries, the City of London, Whitehall, intelligence services, and financial interests evolved into a parallel governing structure—unelected, unaccountable, and extraordinarily resilient. This was not accidental. It was adaptive. And it worked.
What is now unfolding across the Anglosphere is not a new phenomenon. It is the export—and mutation—of that model.
In Perfidious Albion, I describe what I term duality deep-states: systems in which constitutional governance continues to exist in form, while real power migrates elsewhere. Elections are held, courts sit, parliaments debate—but key decisions are shaped by permanent bureaucracies, intelligence networks, compliant media, politicised judges, and financial leverage. The public is permitted participation, not authority.
This model has now been imported wholesale into the United States, Australia, and parts of Europe. The EU is governed by unelected bureaucrats who are virtually unaccountable.
Recent events in Democrat-governed American states are illustrative. The breakdown of public order, the politicisation of law enforcement, and the selective application of justice are not failures of policy; they are features of governance captured by ideology and protected by institutions that no longer answer to voters. The streets of Minneapolis where people feel free to physically confront and abuse law enforcement officers doing their duty suggests anarchy beckons.
When Donald J. Trump challenged this system, he was not merely opposing a political party, he was confronting an entrenched structure that recognises no legitimacy outside itself. That is why the reaction was so visceral, so coordinated, and so lawless in spirit while cloaked in legalism.
Australia follows the same pattern at a quieter pace.
Our universities no longer educate; they condition. Our national broadcaster, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, no longer interrogates power; it polices opinion. Dissent is not debated—it is pathologised. This is not accidental. It is how dual systems protect themselves.
The prosecution of inconvenient truth-tellers follows a familiar script. When narratives are threatened—whether in geopolitics, criminal justice, or institutional corruption—the response is not engagement but exclusion. Reputations are attacked. Motives impugned. Silence enforced. Right now Australia is looking to join the UK and some European nations in banning Elon Musk’s ‘X’. Not to protect children but to protect themselves and the imposters with whom they govern, from the truth.
This is why Perfidious Albion matters now.
The book explains how respectable democracies decay without drama. There is no coup, no tanks, no declaration, there is only gradual moral inversion: competence replaced by credentialism, law replaced by process, truth replaced by consensus. The public senses something is wrong but is told—endlessly—that nothing is.
History teaches that such systems do not collapse from external attack. They rot from within. The final stage is always the same: a ruling class convinced of its own virtue and insulated from consequence.
Democracies do not die because people are evil.
They die because too many people are misinformed, at best naïve but at worst stupid, and apathetic, while believing themselves morally unassailable.
That is the lesson of Perfidious Albion.
And it is no longer theoretical.

Thanks for the email. Peter Thiel and Reid Hoffman, both billionaires, and originally in business with Elon Musk. Reid Hoffman (Linkedin) was a Jeffrey Epstein favourite and financed E Jean-Carroll’s outragious allegations against DJT. I have been impressed by Peter Thiel becaise he is ostensibly a conservative-libertarian. I doubt Thiel “owns JD”. Have you read JD’s ‘Bill Billy Elegry’? When JD was as Cornell he digested some left-wing BS. The real-world opened his eyes, it was Donald Trump Junior who identified him as VP-POTUS material. I think Thiel may have played a part inh the vetting process. I like JD, he talks sense and I appreciate his loyalty to DJT. JD has half Indian children but ostensibly the appalatchian values still influence JD’s conservative-libertarian perspectives. I remain loyal to Israel so if Palnatir provides services I’m okay with it. The recording of the loud eating noises (not cool) conservation with Ehud Barak would probably have been known to Barak. Remember Barak was once heade of Mossad, and I suspect that Jeffrey Epstein was an employee of Mossad. How else could Epstein have achieved such access and protection. I suspect Mossad is the key and the lock.

Peter Thiel is on record as saying he does not believe in democracy and elections (Source: in the introduction of ‘Crack-Up Capitalism’ by Quiin Slobodian – you can download the free version on Playbooks). Liberterian Peter Thiel believes that the billionaire CEO’s should run the countries of the world. Interesting that Peter Thiel finaced JD Vance and donated to both Trump campaigns. With the Musk-Trump fallout, Musk has already stated things will change under JD Vance. Thiel controls JD. Peter Thiel’s company Palantir provides services to Israel’s military, the CIA, FBI, Homeland Security, British NHS and some industries in Australia. That gives him access to a lot of data to mine and gives him tremendous power. Epstein was keen for Barak to meet with Peter Thiel and become acquainted with Palnatir (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgO85rySfhQ). Why? Even Elon Musk has raised concerns about how this data can be used to control our lives. Read up on Peter Thiel, as he sees himself and his tech billionaires running the world, without police, judges and the law. Like Trump, JD Vance will be another pawn on the chessboard. These elites do not care about ideaology, left or right, capitalist of communist ( as seen from above), it’s all about power and control. If you have the billions, you can buy in, if you do not you can be sold off to another CEO. Re-colonization not by the empires, but by the elites. Be careful for what you wish for., it might be a monster.

Sad part is having lived through this in Rhodesia except being unaware to the globalist game and not having time to be brainwashed by them we fought the good fight but in retrospect could never reverse this pervasive globalist parasitism.

I hope Alberta separates or the indigenous declare UDI against King Chuck and Queen Upchuck and get their unceded land back and we become a Republic: (80% of Canada belongs to Brit monarchy( 16% private owned and 4% regional governments ,municipalities). We have to become truly Sovereign:The TDS is so diffuse here and since I arrived 1983 I eel I am living in exile serving strangers.I see shame shenanigans with Greenland that have right to independence but Danes will not allow them like Rhodesia was not allowed.You should be a speaker at the annual ARC( Alliance of Responsible Citizens) conference in London or at least see live-streamed event that is coming up.
Also important is that US wins their 1776 war of independence 2.0.

To use your own word. these perfidious egoists have got to the stage where they believe their own despicable ways are absolute and there are no questions in their own minds as to whether there is wrong in them. It never ceases to amaze me that morality ceases to exist in those who think they are above “the masses”. Judeo Christian morality which has been the driver of good, hospitals, schools, stopping the slave trade, free speech and the uplifting of man since time began is being questioned by Marxism and Islam with no room for discussion. Free Speech? Christianity and their like are branded as the radicals and have no platform from these Woke liberals.
We are eternal beings so, this short time here is but a blip on the scale of time and knowing where you are going after this life is critical. Biblically the decision as to where that will be can only be made in this one life we have as mortal beings here in earth. Those perfidious people who reject the offer will spend eternity, quite a long time, regretting their odious natures.
Hi Alan, you are politically ‘spot on’. I think things could degenerate into a ‘bloody’ mess. I hope not. We watched Australia under COVID 19 degenerate from a freedom loving democracy into a Bureaucractic dictorship, almost over night. We couldn’t believe the lack of caution. The majority of people just fell into line.

This post has clarified it for me and it now makes more sense in what actually is going on .
I don’t believe Trump is part of this . I think he has figured out the nonsense….and that is why they are desperate to get him out the way .
Unfortunately he only has 3 years left . Once he departs, The full force of this madness will be back….What then ??
