Hannes Wessels,

Credible reports indicate the US Navy is in trouble patrolling the Straits of Hormuz as Iranian drones coming in from all angles on select targets are stretching the defensive systems of ships under attack.

The Straits of Hormuz are effectively closed while US warships are blocking Iranian ports. This adds to the chaos in the Gulf that is sending shockwaves around the world causing elevated energy prices, uncertainty and economic distress virtually everywhere.

A war that was supposed to be one of ‘shock and awe’ that would quickly cripple the country and lead to ‘regime change’ is now looking likely to become a ‘forever war’ with President Trump now refusing to mention any timelines. The threat of ‘boots on the ground’ with the deployment of Marines to secure strategic installations seems to have been shelved.

Another attempt at peace-talks seems to have ended before the scheduled start with President Trump cancelling the flight to Islamabad of the American delegation consisting of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Repeated statements from the American President assuring the world that the Iranian leadership want peace are not being backed up by immediate diplomatic action.

Military analyst Colonel Douglas MacGregor says the president and his advisers, most notably the Department of War Secretary, Pete Hegseth, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan ‘Raizin’ Caine, woefully underestimated the Iranians and are running short of ideas as to what do next.

Top ‘brass’ at the Pentagon are being fired, the latest being Navy Secretary John Phelan, and there are reports of an angry president presiding over increasingly acrimonious discussions as he and his aides search for solutions to what is looking more and more like a quagmire with the only ‘quick fix’ being an inglorious abandonment of the entire campaign.

Colonel MacGregor and many others explain the genesis of this crisis lying with the Israelis, who, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his top intelligence and military officers, convinced the American leadership that a massive bombing and missile attack on strategic targets and select political and military leaders would decapitate the ‘monster’, collapse the government, and trigger a popular revolution leading to a new, more moderate administration, probably headed by Reza Pahlavi, son of the late Shah.

There is some irony in this because while there is no sign of dissent in Iran, the leadership in Teheran appears to be unthreatened and if some Iranian academics are to be believed, the people are now more solidly behind their leaders than they were before the Americans attacked. The same cannot be said of the American voters who are abandoning Trump in droves.

US voters are angry because they (along with many other people, including most European governments) do not believe Iran was about to launch a nuclear strike on their homeland, and the promise of peace Trump made on the election campaign trail has turned out to be a lie.

All this manifests amid rising energy costs and no sign of the economic upliftment promised to working-class Americans. Billions that might well have helped the electorate improve their quality of life are being spent on an unpopular, and possibly unwinnable war.

The mid-term elections in November are almost certain to usher in a Democrat majority, and many believe a motion to impeach the president will follow.

With this in prospect, there are many reasons to believe President Trump’s decision to attack Iran will soon be seen as a watershed event that signalled the demise of his presidency while making the world a more fractious and therefore more dangerous place.

Many are cheering the fact that the closing of the Straits is starving China of the oil and energy needed to manage and grow its economy and that an angry China is somehow an achievement to be celebrated. Just why so many want to see this very powerful country provoked into some sort of violent reaction is not clear to me.

Frustrated by his lack of success Trump has lashed out at NATO leaders in Europe and the UK, using crass language that reflects poorly on his office. In so doing, he has succeeded in further alienating erstwhile allies including Italian prime minister Georgio Meloni, who was, like me, so recently a Trump fan.

Just what leads Trump to believe he can make a unilateral decision (or bi-lateral, if one includes Israel), to start a war, and then demand the support of countries whose leaders played no part in the decision, is not clear to me but what is clear is that Trump and Netanyahu stand apart from the rest of the global political leadership as the only heads of state who believed and still believe that Teheran poses an imminent nuclear threat.

I’m still hoping to be proved wrong and events to come will prove the president made the right decision. However, to me the prospects of that happening are looking very gloomy indeed.

  1. Good article from Fox News which tells it exactly how it is regarding Trump…

For all of you that have TDS…We are witnessing history being made!!!!

He removed the USA from the World Health Organization. He humiliated the World Economic Forum and crushed their agenda. He wiped the floor with the United Nations and replaced them with the Board of Peace. He drops strategic truth bombs on the European Union, initiating its collapse. He exposes NATO and pulls the plug. Every single world organization created for a satanic world government is being killed by Trump.

Trump also obliterated all their plans for world tyranny. Their first phase was a decade of plandemics from 2020 to 2030. Trump ended it after only eight months. Their second phase was extreme climate tyranny. Trump prevented it. They relied on ongoing vaccine mandates to decimate mankind. Trump ended all vaccine mandates. They weakened humanity through poisoned food. Trump appointed RFK Jr. to make food healthy again. They brainwashed everyone through the news media. Trump exposed it as fake news. They tried to silence all of mankind through censorship. Trump restored free speech.

And then there’s election fraud… used by the Satanists to position their agents in nations around the world. Trump exposed it and is reforming elections. He eliminated a central base for worldwide election interference in Venezuela.

Next, they used narcotic drugs to kill millions and weaken hundreds of millions every year worldwide. Trump took out several of the world’s largest drug-dealing operations.

There is also the funding of all nefarious operations of the Satanists through USAID. The tax money of the people was used to finance terrorism, LGBTQ, transgender madness, media mind control, political corruption, child trafficking, and more. All funded with American tax money through USAID. Trump ended it forever.

They relied on the billions and billions of dollars that flowed from the hard-working people into the hands of their countless corrupt officials. Trump is ending all that fraud.

Even taxation itself is a massive fraud and pure crime. Taxes have been used to enslave and impoverish the people while enriching the Satanists around the world. Trump will end income tax and replace it with honest and fair tariffs, which turn the tables: no longer will the nation be bled dry for the profit of foreign powers. Now the funds for the nation will come from those foreign powers.

The youth of America was being indoctrinated with demonic ideologies through a corrupt Department of Education. Trump ended it. God was being pushed out of the country; prayer and the Bible were being outlawed. Trump restored it.

The Satanists had planned to wipe out America and other nations through an Israeli-controlled nuclear war that would be launched from Iran. Trump prevented that and saved the world once again.

There is also the plan to destroy America and the world through mass migration—flooding every country with millions of criminals and uneducated people who weaken the culture, burden the nations, and cause mass violence, while eliminating the unique identity of every country by turning the nations into a blend of every possible culture. All as part of a one world state agenda. Trump ends it by closing the borders and deporting the illegals.

And the list goes on and on. One by one, President Trump destroys every single scheme of the Satanists and ends their plans for world domination.

This was copied and pasted, but I believe there’s a majority of everything in this message.

Every time it appears, he is doing something that doesn’t look right, the motive reveals itself down the road.

And it always ends up being for the people. Even the people too stupid to see what is happening on this planet.

    1. Thanks for this Phil, I appreciate being reminded of all that President Trump has done right and applaud him. I’m just sorry about his decision to attack Iran, I think it was a terrible mistake and a blight on his presidency.

  2. Hannes I am beginning to think like you.
You mention George Soros. What is beyond me, is Trump, well into his second term in office and that architect of chaos Soros just continues on his trail of carnage unhindered and nothing happens to him!! What exactly is going on? And I am wondering if Trump is losing it with temper tantrums, unleashing four letter words on the public and threatening to ‘wipe out a civilisation!’ Not good at all.

    1. Yes Al, Soros has played an important role in the demise of the West but he like many others, is simply not accountable for anything he does.

  3. Hannes – you want intellectual back up, since we hear Doug MacGregor is suspect … these all agree with you and with more deep dive rationale and explanation: Davis, Krapivnik, Noh, Crooke, Pound, Blevins, Sanchez, Gao, Johnson, Mercouris, Ritter, Diesen, Sachs, Marandi, Christoforou, Galloway, Escobar, Mearsheimer, Wilkinson, Hudson, McGovern, Kwiatowski, Baud … you could throw in Tucker and Kasparian, but they’re pretty lowbrow compared to the others … stick to your guns, you’re correct on this one

  4. Dead on the money Hannes – nothing to add other than the American faction that engineered this war have succeeded in strengthening their perceived future enemies (Russia, China, N Korea, Iran) into a formidable Axis of Opposition … which India and Pakistan may join. As for BRICS – well, they have ever increasing motivation to build their momentum as well to the economic detriment of the petrodollar. Given the ripple effects of the tsunami of escalating costs throughout the world (see Zimbabwe fuel and fertilizer costs rising) all DT and friends have done is make the rest of the world hate America. In the history of own goals this is second only to Germany declaring war on Russia and the USA in 1941.

    1. I like your comment! All Trump has done is succeed in making more hatred and enemies of the States. It is his role he is playing now.

      1. Yes I think in his frustration he’s lashing out and making a bad situation worse. I see Hegseth lambasting the press because they don’t report enough on the ‘bravery and skill’ of US servicemen and see this as the ranting of an angry man whose bluster has caught up with him. I too salute these men and women, but the question is what was the point of you sending them into war?

  5. Hannes, SORRY, but I am on the totally opposite side of the fence from you, on this issue. Iran wanted to create an atmosphere of fear and suspicion anywhere in the world, where they could successfully oppose, Western thinking, standards or control. In their version of the Shia religious cult, this is a Religious War, that must be won, at any cost.
Donald Trump is doing, (and on his own, if necessary), what All Presidents, going back to Jimmy Carter, (late 1970’s), Talked about resolving, but never found the backbone or tools, to get this odious job done.
The Sooner He can get this completed, the safer the entire World will be in oh so many ways.

    1. Well Doug I may be wrong, but I think he’s looking for a way out of this. The Americans have to commit troops on the ground to claim ‘victory’ and they’re unlikely to do that in my view.

    2. In full agreement. Iran’s nuclear programme isn’t the only threat. The sleeper cells that have been imbedded in the western world. And the proxies that are attacking Christians in Africa are a real threat and Iran is the taskmaster.

  6. Hmm Hannes – Perhaps DT can now walk away from Iran, and in the process plant a million mines to guard the Hormaz straight, making safe passage impossible in the future nearly impossible. In the meantime, USA has enough oil for themselves, to not care what happens to Irans customers. Iran must be pretty weak by now, and their customers are looking for other suppliers, Venezuela being top of the list.
I doubt if DT thinks he is loosing this one, and certainly not showing signs.
As for popularity, it has been claimed that it has hit record levels, Not so much in favour , but disillusioned Dem followers. Many secretly admire him, and come time to vote (for citizens only) this will prove a point.

  7. You can not trust Mac Gregor as a reliable source of information. He is clearly not telling the whole story. We are so happy to believe the US is so stupid as to undertake this operation without a clear objective. I do not agree. This operation serves to strengthen Soviet control of the region and fits in very nicely with the Kremlin’s objectives in the Middle East. Red China is also profiting by this escapade. The missing link is that the Israeli State is a Soviet proxy. Is Trump that stupid? Is this just the Hubris of the Israeli State? No I don’t think so.

    1. So are you saying Trump is happy with increased Soviet control in the region? And China profiting? I don’t agree the Israelis are in any shape or form, proxies for the Russians.

      1. Yes that is correct. I don’t think we would have an Israeli State without the Soviet influence in its creation. Soviets voted it into the UN right? The first settlers were all Soviet communists. That aspect of history is quite apparent. And as far as Trump being a Soviet/Zionist puppet absolutely. He is always strengthening the Soviet Red axis of evil not diminishing it. And it makes sense when you understand the Soviet control of political Zionism. Thanks for commenting! I like your articles!

  8. Nothing but more of the same superficial nothing-new-is-good-news from the Left whose desperation has them ALL becoming a lunatic fringe. An islamist regime has been funding globalist terrorism along with unvetted migration for the last 47 years with the full cooperation & encouragement of the UK & EU. President Trump, who is not merely another wimpy politician demands better for this world, puts his life on the line every day to drain the UK & EU GLOBALIST LEFTIST SWAMP for whom putting a nuclear weapon in the hands of an islamist-terrorist regime is just the next step towards their goal of fascist authoritarianism.

    1. Not sure I follow your point about the Iranians funding ‘unvetted migration’? How have they done this? I know George Soros has been doing this and does not dispute it but he’s not Iranian?
