Highly respected, Writer, Blogger, Wildlife Conservationist, Hunter and Father.......
I was born in america 1969. I had heard of the country of Rhodesia but never learned about its tragic history. I just finished reading A Handful of Hard Men. I was astounded that I was a contemporary to these events but knew nothing of them. About 10 years after Captain Watt left the 1SAS I joined the US Army and served as a paratrooper. In all my time in the Army I never knew or met anyone as gallant, or skilled in Captain Watt. Even reading now about his exploits my heart yearns to have been there with him. But I know I was not born for that time or place. If by chance you read this Captain Watt, know that I am in awe of your exploits and skills and I thank you for those of us who should be grateful for your extraordinary service but who were unaware of those times and places in which they occured.
Also, fuck David Carrington.
Thanks for this Sir. I’ll pass on to Darrell.
